The gameplay is probably the most realistic baseball there is out there right now.

I can honestly tell you w/o a doubt there is NO comparison whatsoever between the 2 games. There is a lot to learn before this game can get really fun so if this is your first foray into a sports game then be prepared to spend a few hours getting spanked by the AI. Now I've had some time and I can say I really like this game. Don't listen to the other reviews which speak of losing points if you dont train everyday. Pitch movements are remarkable, its not always thrown to the spot you want it thrown to, it depends on your pitchers stamina and overall, how good your pitcher actually is. After playing this game I can say for sure that there is no reason to buy 2k's baseball game if you own a PS3 or even a PS2 for that matter .

GARBAGE! If you are into sports video games, then you should know by now that you should never expect a game to be vastly better than it's counterpart from the year before. If you are a Baseball nut w/ a PS3 this is the one.

It's probably the slowest game I own for my PSP but once you're on deck things move pretty quickly.

However, nearly all of the gameplay glitches have been dealt with and fixed, and some nice touches such as pitch and location suggestions from the catcher have been added. You will be lost if you don't know what the different onscreen indicators mean. There is a lot to learn before this game can get really fun so if this is your first foray into a sports game then be prepared to spend a few hours getting spanked by the AI. It takes a little getting used to with hitting and running the bases. Throw in a roster update and a revamped "Road to the Show" career mode, and this is a baseball game woth buying, especially if you didn't buy the game last year or if you upgraded to the PS3.
