At first I was very disappointed. MLB 07: The Show delivers online baseball action the way it should be. Your career player if they are a pitcher does get knocked around a bit while your training to build up your ability but with a little effort and some smart decision making skills with how you spread those valuable training points like building up one main pitch before developing others , you will be great in no time. MLB 07 The Show is not.

The graphics on this are so much better on the PS3 than 2k7 and gameplay is so much more natural.

Only downside is that the games are longer now especially if you like to simulate to your "next at bat" like me. Traffic delays and dropped games are the norm. With the Adaptive Pitching Intelligence API feature, catchers will call the game based on the individual strengths and weaknesses of each pitcher as well as analyze tendencies of batters. There is a lot to learn before this game can get really fun so if this is your first foray into a sports game then be prepared to spend a few hours getting spanked by the AI.
